Lindsay Kay

FOUNDER

A boy mom, a wife, a washed-up ex-athlete turned fun runner, a mental health advocate and a $10 bottle of wine connoisseur. When I’m not busy planning more rad things for this community, you’ll find me frolicking in the Chilliwack Mountains or running along the Vedder river.

The Slay Movement Collective was born largely as a result of my own postpartum struggles. Being a mom is HARD! Trying to balance being a wife, a mom and a working professional is no small feat. After the birth of my son I really struggled. I didn’t fully realize the relationship that movement had to my mental health until I was in the thick of it. The more I talked about my struggles, the more I realized that I wasn’t alone. I now know that I am a better partner and mother when I take even 30 minutes to intentionally move my body every day. This realization led me to turn the Slay Movement Collective into what it is today - A safe space for amazing individuals to come together, adventure, do hard things, and cheer each other on.

I want to be your reminder that YOU ARE WORTHY. Make yourself a priority.

It’s been such an incredible experience learning and growing alongside so many inspirational women.
